An ITIL Simulator Game Engine

This master's thesis is focused on Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Objective of the project was to analyze, design and implement a game engine, which would provide simulation of IT service operation in real or accelerated time or in turns. Basic part of the engine is a creators mode, which allows users to create custom IT services and specify their behaviour during operation, like the service would be used in real. Another part of the engine is a players mode and simple service desk. In this mode, players can take care of fluent operation of their services. Thanks to this, they can learn and train practices, which are described in ITIL.

This master's thesis presents analysis, design and implementation of an information system for supporting studying and practicing of selected methods described by Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) with focus on service design and service operation. In the form of a web application the thesis presents an uncommon approach to e-learning system development by extending the standard lecture part by game elements and interactive scenarios. Developed system allows creators to define services and tasks, such as incidents and problems caused by their operation, and evaluate reactions of responsible users. The application can be used by IT administrators or Service Desk managers to train new IT engineers or Service Desk operators.
Learning Software for Visual and Text-Based Programming in Lua/LÖVE

This thesis pertains visual programming in Lua language with LÖVE framework. Within this thesis was created web application for teaching programming in Lua/LÖVE. Application supports both block and text based programming. Created games can be easily launched on Android platfrom using the Android app that was created in this thesis. The web app also includes tutorials that are well suited for education in schools.
Development of a Desktop Application for Practising Mathematics for Operation System Windows

This bachelor thesis explores the process of creation and development of a desktop application for the operating system Windows that is focused on practising Mathematics. Programming language C# and the environment Visual Studio were chosen for this project. The application offers two modes - "Student" and "Teacher". The "Student" mode allows the user to practise solving mathematical problems. The application tracks the success history of the user, allowing them to retry solving previously failed problems as well as new ones of the same type. All problems can be revisited later. The "Teacher" mode puts emphasis on being highly customisable to suit the user's teaching style, which is provided by the integrated course editor, that supports various types of math problems. Selective questions, filling in the blanks and open questions where only the result is checked can all be created.

Mobile technology as a tool for management and teaching in elementary and secondary education

The primary aim of the thesis concerning mobile technology as a tool for management and teaching at school is to describe the current status of ICT at school from two perspectives: From the management perspective as well as from the perspective of school education. Further, to look through the state policy in education, Annual report of the Czech School Inspectorate statistics CSO and professional literature in this area at the current state of technology introduction at present-day schools. To capture the view of Experts on the new trends that penetrate to us from abroad. To gather by means of quantitative research of the randomly selected sample of respondents what are the possibilities and benefits of technology and knowledge of new trends in our conditions (BYOT). To verify by means of research how this issue is perceived and accepted by current teachers and leaders at schools in the Prague region and in several other regions of the Czech Republic. The conclusion tries to summarize and on the basis of the research results to show needs, opportunities and benefits of mobile technology for the school and its clients. Interactive whiteboard in teaching second grade of elementary school

The diploma thesis focuses on support of teaching in chosen subjects in the second year of elementary school using interactive white boards with new technology SMART lab. It is focused on evaluation of publicly available interactive teaching portal applications, which occurre in high numbers, however they are obsoled or inappropriately created. Subsequently, the thesis includes a research which pays attention to the usage of the interactive white boards in chosen subjects in the second year of elementary schools located in Vysočina region. The main aim is to ascertain knowledge of teachers when using this technology. The examined subjects were chosen of the result of the questionnaire survey which was sent to teachers from the first grade of the elementary school.
